A LITTLE ABOUT ME
I was born in Charlotte, North Carolina during a very historical time of America. I was an Army Brat who grew up in Germany for 8 years and Colorado for 5 years, then Kansas, before moving to Miami for some "life lessons" and then moving on to LA to purse a career as an actress. I am also a writer, filmmaker, photographer and painter.
I always wanted to be an actor from a very young age. Inspired by the young actors on "Little House on the Prairie" & "The Brady Bunch" and the comedy of "The Carol Burnet Show", "Happy Days" and "Mork & Mindy", my sister and I would write sketches to perform for our parents and their friends, when we were little. We also sang constantly and I danced at a young age, as well.
I was in a show choir group in High School and we traveled around Colorado performing at other schools and convention halls. We were like GLEE. It was a magical time for me. My first true taste of SHOW BUSINESS.
I loved it!
I love writing films, directing, and making my own content. Writing roles for myself that I want to play. The business has changed so much over the years and you just can't wait for opportunity to knock at your door. You must do everything you can to make your own dreams come true.
ON BEING AN ACTOR
I love drama, as well as comedy.
I'm think I'm a cross between Margo Robbie, Charlize Theron, Roseanna Arquette, Leslie Mann & Marilyn Monroe.
I've performed Shakespeare & the Classics. My technique is Meisner, Strasberg, and John Cassevettes.
I've also done stand up. Taught by the brilliant Adam Barnhardt and I've performed many times at the Comedy Store in the Belly Room and The Main Room. As well as The Ice House, Flappers, and The Kibitz Room!
In 2018, I performed my solo show entitled
"Marilyn Monroe: The Last Interview"
which debuted in the 2018 Hollywood Fringe Festival at the Lounge Theatre which won a Producer Encore Award and a 2 show encore. Followed by a 4 week run last September at Studio C on Santa Monica Blvd. On Feb. 1st, 2019, I performed at the Whitefire Theatre 2019 Solofest to a fabulous crowd. Incredible experience!! Thanks to Brian Rasmussen and my wonderful tech person, Derrick McDaniel and of course my wonderful director, Wayne Orkline.
I performed "Marilyn Monroe: The Last Interview" a total of 16 times.
My Last Performance of my solo show was on December 3, 2023 at the Broadwater's Main Stage Theatre.
It was a DREAM COME TRUE!
